Dear Fellow Parent,
Are you pulling your hair
out wondering if you are doing it right?
Do you lie awake at night
guilted out that you are messing up and your kid is going to be
messed up for life?
Do you see in their actions
and demeanor something that makes you think they are missing self
esteem and self confidence?
Are you wanting to discover
ideas that will improve your approach to parenting?
If so, you have come to
the right place.

Hi. My
name is Tom Adams. I am a 40 year old married guy from Canada.
I am also my kids dad. Two boys to be exact. And I love being
a dad. I admit that I make mistakes more easily than I like
to admit. And frankly now that they are hitting the early teenage
years I wonder if I did it all right. |
But, I never feel like
I can't get better at it and learn more and still have a profound
effect on my boys lives.
Every summer my boys and
I love to go to beach. We love it so much because we only get about
2 good months to go to the beach here in Canada where I live, so
we go as much as we can. After we arrive and set up our beach things
we try the water to determine if it is too cold to swim in. Most
of the time it is too cold, at least until late summer, so we retreat
to what we love to do. I sit back into my beach chair, open up a
book and start to read. The boys go exploring for treasure. Despite
being older now, they still love exploring.
After finding a delightful
treasure or a handful of them, they come running back to our beach
area and show me their find. Often they have found a smooth stone,
the occasional fossil, a shell, or a feather. Each of these items
in their own way holds a particular delight for my boys who revel
in sharing their treasure with me. And if I get as excited as they
do with the treasures they find, the moments we share together are
ones of magic and memory.
Well guess what?
That is exactly what I
want to do with you. I love exploring for treasure - parenting treasure.
Then when I find one, I'll virtually show it to you.
Every day I will send
a short email in which I will share a lesson learned along the way..
a story... a resource... a quote. I read ferociously. I devour resources
regularly. I ask other parents all the time what works and what
doesn't. I want to learn. But I don't want to keep it all in. I
want to share it. With you.
I can't promise the best
answers, only a willingness to explore the questions this thing
called parenting demands from us.
My goal,
which I assume is like yours is to nourish strong, self confident
boys and girls allowing them to flourish as successful adults.
So, join me in my journey.
I hope as you get to know
me, you will see some of yourself in me. Not always sure of what
to do, but committed to the end result... self confident kids.
How much
for this ongoing
education you ask?
Absolutely
nothing.
Your
subscription to Kid Flourish is free.
What's The Catch?
You are probably wondering
how I can offer this for free. Well there are three reasons. They
are pretty selfish but I hope you benefit greatly from my selfishness.
Selfish Reason #1.
I want to write a book about practical parenting tips. And I am
finding it hard to do it all at once. But I have found that if I
force myself to do it every few days, just a paragraph or two, then
I know I can get it done. So you become my accountability group
while you get some great tips, resources and content.
Selfish Reason #2.
I have spent 10 years traveling a lot, speaking and training people
to be the best they can be. I am tired of traveling and I want my
lifestyle to change. I want to be closer to home more often to be
with my kids. Instead of traveling to speak, I am going to start
doing teleconferences from my home office. Occasionally I will let
you know about a teleconference you can join me on or a teleseminar
we are holding. I figure if you like what you get from me on a regular
basis in the email, you might be willing to pay a small amount to
join me in a teleconference.
Selfish Reason #3.
I find that I am the most happy in my life when I give the information
and secrets I have learned away. I was once told that "Karma
is a boomerang" and from my experience, it is also true. I
love sharing what I have found. It fills my tank. So by sharing
great stuff with you, I get a huge emotional benefit and I believe
you will too.
From time to time in my
emails I will let you know about something new I have written or
direct you to something someone else has written or created. I will
also make you aware of the resources, books and tools that have
had an impact or effect on me.
And a
Cool Little Bonus Gift
Just for joining Kid
Flourish you will receive a free copy of my latest e-book entitled."Where
Self Esteem Flourishes: A Parent's Role in Cultivating Visible Self-Confidence
in Their Children" which I co-wrote with my wife. It is
the hardcopy version of a series of speeches I gave to school parents
in my hometown. It was so well received I decided to put to print.
After you sign up you will be directed to a page to download it.
To self confident, esteem
filled kids!

P.S. Can't wait to tell
you some of the cool things I have learned along the way.
